Elaine L. Rector Joins E3 Staff

E3 is pleased to announce the appointment of Elaine L. Rector as a School Change Coach for our Oregon Small Schools Initiative. Elaine has been in education for over 25 years and has served in a variety of roles including teacher, instructional facilitator, school improvement specialist, and staff development and community coordinator. For eleven years, she taught high school in Oregon and California. She has served as a teacher leader, administrator, curriculum specialist, staff development coordinator, community school partnership coordinator and literacy coach.
Among her many professional activities, Elaine has worked extensively with the Oregon Department of Education, the Corvallis School District, Western Oregon University, Oregon Council for the Social Studies, and Prentice Hall Publishers. She is currently a member of the Oregon Community School Association program development committee, the Statewide Student Owned Strategies for Reading Trainer of Trainers (Oregon Department of Education) and a member of the YMCA Activity Board Program Committee for Youth and Government.
Elaine has extensive experience and passion for school reform and professional development. As an education consultant, Elaine has enjoyed working with teachers, administrators, parents and community members to help them learn how to better support effective learning for students. She is a strong believer in using an interactive professional development model that stems from collaborative instructional coaching and leadership development.
“I am very excited about working with E3 and the schools participating in the Oregon Small Schools Initiative,” said Elaine. “This is a natural extension of my work to help make a difference for students by improving teaching and learning.”
