E3 Makes Statewide Impact in 2006

E3 Oregon Small Schools Initiative
We helped open 30 new small schools and changed the way over 14,000 students learn - that’s 8% of all Oregon high school students! These schools are creating innovative curriculum, placing high expectations on students and teachers, and providing strong support from caring adults. When fully implemented the E3 Oregon Small Schools Initiative will have created 46 new small high schools, changed the way thousands of students learn, and created best practice models for high school education all over Oregon.

E3 Oregon Partnership for Student Success
Our flagship community engagement program has expanded to 12 school districts across the state. Hundreds of employee volunteers are working with students
serving as mentors and role models to help improve academic skills and prepare students for college, work, and citizenship.


Employer Classroom Challenge
A partnership with The Chalkboard Project and the Oregon Business Plan, the initiative recognizes employers who support schools and encourages others to get
involved. Over 100 leading companies have registered and will be recognized in a “thank you” print ad in the January issue of Oregon Business Magazine.
