Corporate Leaders Join E3 Board

E3 is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to the board of directors. Danielle Killpack, senior manager of corporate responsibility for Nike, Inc., Jan Mitchell, director of external communications for Pacific Power and PacifiCorp, David Roy, director of grants and corporate giving at Knowledge Learning Corporation and Chris Rullman, vice president of human resources for Comcast.

 “We are honored to have such outstanding individuals contributing their considerable strategic skills to our board,” said René Léger, executive director of E3. “They represent a cross-section of Oregon’s leading companies and bring invaluable experience to our board.”

Danielle Killpack is Senior Manager of Corporate Responsibility for Nike, Inc. where she is responsible for locally executing Nike’s signature kids’ program, NikeGO; US employee volunteer programs, US community advocacy programs, developing civic and charitable giving programs, diversity grant making, and managing Nike’s community stakeholder relationships.  Prior to assuming this job, she served as the Communications and Public Affairs Director for Albertsons, Inc., one of the world’s largest food and drug retailers, where she managed internal and external communications, local government relations, and charitable giving programs across 20 western states. 

Jan Mitchell is Director of External Communications for Pacific Power and PacifiCorp. She has been a director since August 2001, and is responsible for communications planning, media relations and issues management.  Jan led communications efforts as Pacific Power navigated through electric industry restructuring in the late 1990s, serving on statewide consumer education boards in California and Montana. She is a member of Public Relations Society of America and past member of the International Association of Business Communicators, where she served as president of the local chapter.


David Roy
is the Director of Grants and Corporate Giving at Knowledge Learning Corporation.  He oversees grants, government-sponsored funding opportunities and corporate giving activities for Knowledge Learning Corporation, a leading national early childhood care and education company.  David directs efforts to access grant and other funding for Knowledge Learning’s centers and programs, and helps facilitate the company’s philanthropic efforts, including those through the KinderCare Foundation.

Before joining Knowledge Learning in 2002, David was director of development for ChildAid, a Portland-based, international nonprofit.  Prior to his role at ChildAid, David was donor relations coordinator for the Oregon Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  David has also worked as a university fundraiser and as a legal and insurance investigator. 

Chris Rullman is VP of Human Resources for Comcast in the Oregon and Southwest Washington market.  Chris' responsibilities include the overall leadership of Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Payroll.  He manages a team of 37 HR professionals providing services such as employee relations, staffing, training and compensation and benefits.

Chris came to AT&T in November of 2000 as the Director of Staffing.  Prior to joining AT&T/Comcast, Chris was the Director of Human Resources for Protection One Alarm Monitoring where he oversaw Human Resources for the North American and Canadian operations.
